PRESCO HOSTS VISIT FOR NEW BELGIAN AMBASSADOR

The new Belgian Ambassador, His Excellency Mr Dirk Van Eeckhout, visited Presco on 29 June 2005 as part of his familiarisation tour of Nigeria. Presco’s principle shareholder, with 60% o the shareholding, is the Belgian plantation group Siat, so the Ambassador was particularly keen to see the company and its operations. He was shown the full extent of Presco’s operations from nursery to refinery. In summarising his visit the Ambassador expressed thanks for the full explanations given by Presco staff of each stage in the process of producing palm oil and its refined products, noting the plans for investment in the expansion of both the planted area and processing capacity. He congratulated Presco for its significant and continuing contribution to development in Nigeria.
